Alex H
Long time ago I started similar thread on NG, but I do not participate on Fotozones any more, so I decided to re-create it here. I want to display my fluorescence photography in an informal way, without any technical details that may distract from simple appreciation of images that I will show. That is, if they are even worth of any appreciaition. I am going to post them in chronological order, in the same way they are currently arranged on my web-site. I will post three pictures per post and will be updating it with new pictures when I have any. I am posting them all at 800 pixel width, even though the "original" ones in my gallery are a bit larger. So, if they do not look sharp enough - it is due to downsampling by my host server (Zenfolio). Thanks for looking. ***** 1) Scilla sp. http://www.holovachov.com/img/s3/v42/p286016412-4.jpg ***** 2) Bellis perennis http://www.holovachov.com/img/s3/v44/p1051757854-4.jpg ***** 3) Crocus vernus http://www.holovachov.com/img/s3/v45/p368106773-4.jpg Link to comment

Alex H
Oleksandr I don't know anything about botany. But I really enjoy your beautiful pictures. Although I have training in botany and plant identification, I am not doing this type of photography for scientific purposes. I have enough of scientific photography as my job. It just happened that most of the subjects in this series will be plants. But not all! Link to comment

nfoto
These are superb. The Geum urbanum scores on any level also visually ;) Your Centaurea might be C. montanum. C. cyanea is also a possibility. Do you have pictures of the specimen showing foliage? Link to comment
Alex H
Thank you, Bjørn.Centaurea was originally identified as cf. montanum. It is definitely not C. cyanea, but why I questioned "montanum" I can not remember right now. Link to comment
